Sir Cumference + The Dragon of Pi: A Math Adventure.

The book Sir Cumference + The Dragon of Pi: A Math Adventure was written by Cindy Neuschwander and illustrated by Wayne Geehan, I feel this book is for 9 or 10 years to 12 because it has math in it and it’s good for kids to know about radius, pie and circumference. The story started with Circumference stomach was hurting so Radius took a bottle with a poison that he thought would help him and went back to his dad (circumference). When he drank it he turned into a dragon, the knights saw the dragon and summoned people to killed it. He told his mom that the dad was the dragon and they all tried to find a spell to cure his dad, they had found a poison and went from making a pie to using a ruler and onions to find how to make the spell. He went to see his dad it heal him, they ended up saving him with the poison they made. After they went to the castle for pie to celebrate, they had a celebration that lasted for a little more than 3 days. I liked this book because even though he turned his dad into a dragon it was only to help him and in the end he saved him. What I didn’t like was that there was so much going on and it didn’t make sense to me. That is what I liked and didn’t like about Sir Cumference + The Dragon of Pi: A Math Adventure.

Act of Kindness #4

For my fourth act of kindness I decided to surprise my mom by making snacks for our movie night. I made up a bowl of chips for both of us and ice water for her. I did this without being asked because I wanted to surprise my mom because she does so much for me. She asked me to get some snacks ready, but I already had done so. She was really touched that I had organized all of this with her in mind. She thanked me for my thoughtfulness. This made me feel really appreciated and good inside that I had my mom feel so happy. We enjoyed a great movie night together. A little act of kindness can go a long way.
